During the week of International Women’s Day and Egyptian Women’s Day, a group of young Egyptian women decided to take their own brand of revolutionary grafitti to the streets of Cairo fighting for more rights and freedoms in post-revolution Egypt.

AP’s Voter Voices was produced on location in Baghdad, Iraq, in the weeks before the 2010 Iraq parliamentary election. I shot the video in four different neighborhoods in Baghdad, Iraq. The video was also used as part of the larger Associated Press Iraq election interactive I produced.

Remote Area Medical used to provide health care to those in need in the third world. Now they set up temporary health clinics in rural America.

AP photographer Evan Vucci and I traveled to Harriman Tenn. and watched people wait in line overnight to get the most basic of medical and dental care. In the end, there were not enough volunteers to handle all of the people that showed up, and some who waited were turned away. We were told this happens at every clinic.

For the four weeks leading up to the 2008 presidential election, I traveled across the country speaking with voters about the issues they said were most important to them. Those issues were the economy, health care, energy and the war in Iraq.

It was a multi-platform approach, filing print stories, HD frame grabs on the photo wire, and video profiles for each person we spoke to. An AP multimedia interactive was updated with daily content.

In an elaborate form of protest against the war in Iraq, veterans of the war staged an\ simulated occupation of downtown Denver during the Democratic National Convention. I shot the video as a part of AP’s premium Convention Plus interactive.
