Based out of Cairo, Matt Ford is the Interactive Producer for the Mideast region at the Associated Press.

Before transferring to Cairo, Matt covered the 2008 and 2010 U.S. elections as part of AP’s Campaign Plus multimedia team in Washington D.C.

Matt Ford holds a master in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

As an undergraduate, Matt studied journalism at Penn State University and film and video production at York University in Toronto.

Before transitioning to multimedia journalism, Matt worked in the Los Angeles film industry as a set and studio lighting technician. He worked on Along Came Polly, Spiderman 2, West Wing, Alias and many other feature, television and commercial productions.
